The T6 and Corpus community battled the rain to show up for the best breakfast in town on Sunday: delicious pancakes hot off the T6 grill, 4H ham and sausage, huge trays of berries and citrus, Peets Coffee and all the great company from the troop and neighboring community. Troop 6 set up our annual snow camp, dedicated to former Scoutmaster Brad Shaw, at Lake Alpine in the Sierras over the MLK weekend. 25 scouts and leaders hiked in a mile, establishing Camp Shaw for two nights of snow camping. The T6 Grubmaster organized a Rice Krispy Treat baking night to express our thanks for support by Corpus Christ Parish and Corpus Christi School. We also baked to spread some cheer to the residents of Oakland’s Elizabeth House and the St. Mary’s Center!
Today 25 Troop6 scouts along with 6 cub scouts conducted the flag ceremony at the annual memorial day service at Mountain-View Cemetery!
Servicemaster Okada, led a detachment of T6 scout on our monthly service project at the St. Mary’s Center, helping to feed the homeless elderly. Eight scouts participated in shopping, preparing, serving, and enjoying a homecooked meal of roasted chicken, baked beans, mashed potatoes, and salad.
